Proxima was 15 when he had his first encounter with Drum ‘n’ Bass. Heavily inspired by this new musical discovery, he started producing beats and buying records. With some help from his cousin Icicle it didn’t take long before he had interested some people with his music.

In 2008 his first releases were fact, no longer fiction. Reinforcing Eindhoven’s main Drum ‘n’ Bass night, Icon, that same year also proved to be an important step in Proxima’s ever-growing acknowledgement in the scene. Signed on labels such as Shogun, Play:Musik and Verse’s Crunch, Proxima was on his way to establish himself as a well-known producer, getting much support from big names in the scene.

After a period of relative silence, Proxima is starting to make waves again with fresh tunes and a clear state of mind. Being intrigued with the deeper, synthetic side of Dubstep, he's set out to make a name in this rapidly expanding music genre. The likes of Youngsta, Icicle, Distance, Kryptic Minds, etc … have been playing out Proxima's music, and plans for his first Dubstep releases are taking form. It's seems 2012 is gonna be a good year for the Dutchman!

So, make sure to follow Proxima's progress by keeping a close eye, big things are bound to happen and you will witness them for the first time in Belgium  .. only at Daily Dubstep off course !
