John Doe first got in touch with Drum ‘n’ Bass in ’96 through his friend Lennaart Raams, listening to early Photek, Adam F and Roni Size. They started producing together in ’98 under the name Movin Forward. They put out 2 albums of their own material, consisting of house, breaks and drum ‘n’ bass.

In 2002 he founded the highly successful “fckn wckd*” club night in Tilburg, which is still running strong and has had the world’s top DJ’s play. Early 2004 John started his weekly radio show at Jungletrain.net, which ran for years. Later that year John became part of the IchiOne crew as a resident DJ at the Subversive Renaissance parties in Amsterdam.

In 2005 the world got to know his own 'Counter Intelligence' label, which has released several singles and albums on vinyl, several mix cd’s and free downloads by artists like Resound, Beta 2, Alpha Omega, Paradox, Macc, Martsman, Fracture & Neptune and Pieter K. ‘Counter Intelligence’ has won the Best Label award 2^nd place for three years in a row at the Dutch Drum ‘n’ Bass Awards.

John also started producing again himself, releasing several tunes on the Propaganda LP

on ‘Counter Intelligence’. Rest assured that John Doe will bring his own fresh mix of deep intelligent beats and heavy breaks to take the music a step further.
